Ever looked at a book at thought to yourself, ‘Doh… analog.’?
In some situations where a computer is either unavailable or advised against the usage of such, a good physical hard and or soft cover book would be a great idea.
But somethings such as programming where you’re looking for specific tid-bits, an eBook would be a blessing.
Is there an eBook for this book?

Gaming
Ah, Persona 4. A game I had bought because I thought it was a good deal at the time. Though perhaps it is still a good deal as the collector’s edition was the same price as the retail price which it would normally sell for. However, it did come with a nifty art book that I seemed to have enjoyed in a fleeting moment in which had also made me think that the stretching of the screen done by the ps3 to fit a hi-def screen had distorted the characters and perhaps the entire game.
So, while playing the game, I had switched the screen from full screen to normal screen which while it does look more faithful to the game it doesn’t take as much room as I would had hoped. Ah well.
I can definitely say without a second thought that I had spent nearly 200 hours already playing that game even though the game had only logged about 3/4 of the time on it. You may ask, what happened to the other 1/4 of the time that is not logged? Well, good thing you had asked as I was about to explain it anyways. A fourth of that time was spent going over the moment that I had enjoyed greatly playing through them at least once. Another of the time was spent on going back and exploring each decision that was made and deciding which was the best way to go through this.
“Why did you do that?”
Well, I would say that comes from a whole slew of things that has been ingrained into me through out the years of living. Such things as exploring each and every option to see which is the best and choosing words and making decisions based on the context of the moment. Most people, I’m sure, would be happy with the first choice they had made and that has gone the same way with me as well. However, even though I had made a satisfactory decision the first time around, I wanted to see just how bad the other choices would result in. Though a game where small decisions can effect the greater outcome, that is also what contributed to the erroneous logging of the time. I had sometimes gone back saves just to roll back a decision that was made earlier which is not so often as me spending time speeding through the story to guage how much a mistake it would have been had I made the decision to go with the worst possible choices.
I must digress though, sometimes, its a lot more fun to intentionally chose the worst possible solution. It also grants a unique experience in that you choose to purpose fail something even though you have been ingrained by a life time of training to go for the best answer that is correct. A freeing experience is what I would say. A very freeing experience.
Next up: My over-thinking of the game!

So I finally get some free time after a very very long time.
Today’s hack-a-day project: Automated File Handling
- Rename
- Upload
- Register it to a database
I had this process already down but using MS Access to handle the files. Though uploading the images were handled manually which isn’t all that hard as it was essentially drag and drop through an ftp client. This simple step though I plan on moving it down the requirements as it isn’t as cumbersome as the remainder of project requirements even though there is no real deadline.
Anyhow, all this will be done interestingly by a programming language that is normally not made to handle windows commands at least in the mind set I had it before. I suppose it can be considered an Archon job whatever that means.
This technique comes from a previous project that I had worked on which was surprisingly easy to modify to handle and register. So, this will be my project for the mean time.
Other free-time projects had taken either a back-seat or is held in internal limbo due to reasons unforeseen.

So here I am about to blast random crap on this blog while with-holding as much as possible while giving as much as possible. I think I’ll start pretty soon with some random crap about the latest game I’m burning countless man hours on, Persona 4. Yeesh, what a black hole for time that thing is!
